About the Job
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Buyer to join our Merchandising team. This individual will be responsible for identifying, executing, and communicating long term and seasonal merchandise strategies that drive product category growth through the development of assortment plans.
What You'll Do | Key Accountabilities
  • Identifies marketing and merchandising trends and ideas, and translates appropriately into realistic merchandise programs
  • Ensures overall product assortment meets financial plan targets and addresses consumer needs
  • Owns oversight of buying for one category end-to-end
  • Develops conceptual assortment/ buy plans to capture assortment needs to feed line planning and product development
  • Provides direction and input to product development to ensure that specific product attribute requirements are met and supported
  • Develops merchandising strategy including pricing, promotional pricing and cadence, markdown plans and timing
  • Manages business to meet company targets on gross margin, sales, sell through, markdowns, inventory levels, and turn
  • Directs merchandise projections and flow schedules to ensure timely and constant flow of merchandise
  • Manages creation of POs and correct item/3rd party set-up and attributes
  • Monitors in-season performance against plan and directs action for improvement as necessary
  • Utilizes end of season analysis provided by planners to modify seasonal strategic, merchandise and assortment plans going forward

What You'll Bring | Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, other related field
  • 5+ years' merchandising experience.
  • Experience in buying Men's Apparel preferred
  • Sound analytical, financial, strategic and problem-solving skills
  • Superior communication and organization skills
  • High level of initiative and ability to execute independently with minimal direction
  • Ability to work within a collaborative and dynamic team environment with diverse groups of people
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Domestic travel required

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
• Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
  • Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, in a hybrid working arrangement from our Dublin, California office.

The starting salary for this position is $87,797 - $95,000. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications. Over time, and subject to performance, tenure, and evolving responsibilities, total compensation for this role may grow to as much as $110,000. Other compensation may include a 10% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
