Job description

Boscov's Merchandise Allocator/ Planner- Men's Division

Job Responsibilities

As a member of the merchant team, the Merchandise Allocator will coordinate with the Merchants on the many functions of the buying office area.

Additional responsibilities of the Allocator include:

  • Develop and propose actionable strategies to maximize efficiency of stock to drive sales
  • Partner with multiple merchants on the development of pre-season plans and quarterly forecasts
  • Management of replenishment system through creation and maintenance of model stocks
  • Working with the buyers to evaluate assortment performance for additions or deletions to the replenishment system merchandise 

Job Requirements

Successful candidates for the Allocator role should have the ability to work with our merchants to assist in business analysis to maximize sales.

Additional requirements of the Allocator include:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience
  • Prior retail allocation experience or equivalent retail experience
  • Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Hyperion, Arthur Planning, and JDA
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment; Consistently looking for ways to improve processes and share those ideas with team
