Job description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Ensure a smoothly run shiftincluding food quality, service and safetyby utilizing proper management techniques.
  • Delegate duties, and hold staff members accountable for their areas of responsibility.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and wage increases according to policy.
  • Assist in menu development.
  • Advise supervisors on policies and procedures, and ensure implementation.
  • Advise supervisors and others on calling, organization and safety techniques.
  • Maintain good communication amongst kitchen staff.
  • Fill in for Chefs when absent.
  • Maintain continuous quality control.
  • Control labor and food waste.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 years of experience working in a restaurant.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience.
