American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Mother/Baby unit position requiring 2 years of acute Mother/Baby RN experience and Epic proficiency.
Job Details
• Work in a 59-bed Mother/Baby unit at the largest delivery center in KY,
• Care for postpartum mothers and infants,
• Patient ratio of 6-8:1,
• Uses Epic EMR,
• Administers medications including pain management, stool softeners, Rhogam, and pitocin,
• Utilizes equipment such as scales and TCI meters,
• Performs IVs, blood draws, PCA management, and wound vac care,
• No telemetry or titration required,
• Night shift schedule from 6:45pm-7:15am,
• Works every other weekend,
• 3 shifts per week at 12 hours per shift, totaling 36 hours weekly,
Job Requirements
• Active RN license (KY or Compact) currently in hand,
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP-Advanced, and STABLE,
• Minimum 2 years of acute Mother/Baby RN experience required,
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required,
• Epic EMR experience required,
Additional Information
• Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans for postpartum mothers and infants,
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient and family needs,
• Provide patient and family education throughout stay and at discharge,
• Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serve as a mentor/preceptor,
• Participate in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives,
• Comply with regulatory standards and practice governance model
