SECRETARY II Mission Department Test Site D3, Port St. Joe, FL Open Position Request Number R-65-26 CLASSIFICATION: Secretary II GRADE: Non-Exempt; Full Time REPORTS TO: Supervisor POSTING DATE: Available to internal/external applicants (06/23/2026) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Secretary II performs varied clerical and secretarial duties. Usually works independently, however may receive guidance from either direct supervision or staff level management in support of other contract requirements. Answer telephone calls and redirect when necessary. Prepare routine non-technical correspondence. Schedule appointments. Maintain filing system. Collect information from the files or staff for routine inquiries or periodic reports, and refer non-routine requests to supervisor. GENERAL DUTIES: * Serves as secretary, reporting to the D-3 Site Manager. Performs varied clerical and secretarial duties as assigned. * Assists with incoming and outgoing information and general communications; answers telephones, provides information to callers or visitors, greets visitors, refers individuals to appropriate official/office and does internal mail distribution. * Responsible for compiling, formatting, reviewing and maintaining several periodic reports, metrics and other written investigations, records and responses. * Assigns tracks and helps meet office suspenses. * Performs occasional research and data collection by phone on procedures, guidance, processes, inspection reports/findings/responses, etc. * Responsible for creating and maintaining paper and electronic documents and files. * Performs Vehicle Control Officer duties. Job Requirements OTHER DUTIES: Required to use appropriate office equipment and perform housekeeping tasks. Other duties of comparable nature and difficulty may be assigned to achieve contract/mission support requirements. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be a high school graduate with five years related experience. Must have personal computer skills with demonstrated proficiency of word processing and other administrative/business computer software programs. Requires a thorough knowledge of office routines, good judgment, initiative, and understanding of the organization, programs and procedures related to the range contract. Knowledge of applicable government websites desirable. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a National Agency Check with Investigation (NACI). Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. All selected candidates must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation and drug test as a condition of placement into this position. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Job requirements will be performed in a well-lighted, environmentally controlled office area. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Bending and stooping may be required occasionally; not required to lift or move objects over 25 pounds. Will be subject to substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal.
