Planned Maintenance Sales Professional

Description
Kennedy Mechanical is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Planned Maintenance Sales Executive to generate and close sales of HVAC service contracts. This role focuses on prospecting, qualifying, and selling planned maintenance agreements to building owners, facility managers, and property management firms. You will be the primary relationship builder, helping clients improve system reliability, lower operating costs, and extend equipment life through customized service solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to identify and generate new PM contract opportunities.
  • Build relationships with property managers, facility directors, and end-users through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Conduct site walks and collect information for asset condition reporting.
  • Propose and close 1-year and multi-year maintenance agreements with appropriate pricing and gross margin targets.
  • Collaborate with operations and estimating teams to develop accurate scope and pricing.
  • Track and renew expiring service agreements.
  • Present professional proposals and deliver ROI messaging to prospective customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of opportunities, proposals, and pipeline activity using our CRM tools.
  • Coordinate internally for unit replacement opportunities arising from PM evaluations.
  • Monitor market trends and competition to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Attend industry networking events, association meetings, and bid walks, as needed.
  • Support the public bid process for PM and unit replacement opportunities, if appropriate

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of sales experience, experience in HVAC, mechanical service, building automation, or facility management is a plus.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a B2B environment.
  • Understanding of commercial HVAC systems and maintenance principles is considered a plus.
  • Experience working with service or construction contracts preferred.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for in-person meetings and site visits.

Compensation & Benefits
This position includes a base salary plus uncapped commission based on closed maintenance agreements and qualifying service projects. $65,000-75,000 + 15% Commission on original preventative maintenance sales + 2% Commission on new customer equipment replacement/repair sales.
