VAMC Contract Opportunity in Fort Harrison, MT

VAMC is seeking Medical Technologists to support laboratory and pathology services within a respected federal healthcare facility. This is an urgent contract with immediate hiring needs—ideal for candidates ready to step into a critical, patient-impacting role.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a mission-driven environment serving our nation’s veterans while gaining valuable federal healthcare experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory testing across all major departments (hematology, chemistry, microbiology, etc.)
  • Ensure accuracy, quality control, and compliance with established protocols
  • Support pathology and laboratory medicine services onsite
  • Respond to urgent testing needs and maintain timely turnaround
  • Maintain proper documentation and adherence to regulatory standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience
  • American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) OR American Medical Technologists OR American Association of Bioanalysts
  • Current BLS certification
  • Must have worked within the last 6 months
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder required
  • Ability to meet federal compliance and credentialing requirements
