Job Title: Medical Records Clerk
Location: Chattanooga, TN
An established healthcare organization is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to support medical records and documentation operations in a fast-paced environment. This opportunity offers long-term potential and focuses heavily on records processing, compliance, and EMR system utilization.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and maintain medical records documentation accurately and confidentially
  • Print, prepare, and organize forms, requests, certifications, and related paperwork
  • Review and process medical records requests while ensuring compliance requirements are met
  • Sign and notarize documents as required
  • Utilize EMR systems to access, update, and maintain patient information
  • Support backlog cleanup and records processing initiatives
  • Coordinate and manage supplies and materials needed for document handling
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of medical records experience required
  • Experience working with HIPAA regulations and protected health information
  • Hands-on experience using EMR systems
  • Certified Notary preferred (required)
  • Strong administrative and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
  • Comfortable supporting occasional in-person business needs if required
