MEDICAL CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Remote Schedule: 1 week remote every month
Job Summary
The Medical Customer Service Agent provides exceptional customer service to Medicare and Medicaid patients by assisting with appointments, follow-up care, insurance verification, and patient support. This role manages high-volume inbound calls while ensuring a positive patient experience and HIPAA compliance.
Responsibilities
- Answer and manage inbound patient calls professionally and efficiently
- Schedule appointments and conduct appointment reminder/follow-up calls
- Assist patients with enrollment, insurance verification, and healthcare navigation
- Update patient demographics and medical records accurately
- Document patient interactions and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Communicate patient concerns to providers and clinical teams
- Generate daily reports and track missed appointments
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality customer service
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Customer service or healthcare experience preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a MUST
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office and EHR systems preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced call center environment
