Job description

Our organization is on the lookout for a Nocturnist Hospitalist to become part of our vibrant team at the newly constructed IU Health Bloomington, located in the picturesque city of Bloomington, Indiana!

Position Highlights:
  • Become a member of a well-established group of physicians and advanced practice providers, benefiting from strong leadership and supportive administration.

  • This is a full-time role involving 12-hour night shifts, approximately 17 weeks per year, following a 7 on/14 off schedule.

  • Your patient care responsibilities will encompass a mix of med-surg, PCU, and ICU levels; participation in codes is required, and procedures will include intubation and central line placements.

  • Responsibilities will also involve managing hospital admissions, discharges, and collaborating with various disciplines and ancillary services.

  • The ICU operates as functionally closed.

  • This position is entirely inpatient-focused.

  • There is an exciting opportunity to engage with medical students and participate in a new Internal Medicine residency program set to launch in 2026.
