As an Insurance Specialist you'll contribute to our success in the following ways:

  • Assures timely and accurate verification of insurance coverage for all new referrals and current patients with payer changes.
  • Responds to payer inquiries regarding insurance authorizations timely and accurately.
  • Processes insurance verification and authorizations requests until final resolution has been reached.
  • Obtains timely authorizations for future care/visits and assists with or provides necessary documentation as required by payer source.
  • Maintains organized, effective, and efficient systems and communication to ensure correct insurance authorizations and verifications are accurate.
  • Employs accuracy of data to ensure correct billing occurs
  • Acts as liaison between company and insurance agencies.

What is Required?

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years of insurance verification, authorization and/or billing experience preferred
  • Excellent skills in MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Associates Degree in Administration is preferred
  • Home Health or Hospice experience is preferred

You will report to the Insurance Department Team leader.
