Role Overview
The Social Media & Content Coordinator will support the planning, creation, production, and execution of engaging content across ConsumerDirect's brand channels and executive (CEO) platforms. This role is ideal for a creative storyteller who enjoys conceptualizing ideas, filming content, editing engaging videos, and creating social-first content that drives engagement. The ideal candidate has experience working with real people on camera and is comfortable producing both short-form and long-form video content from concept through final edit.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Ideation
  • Brainstorm creative content concepts for ConsumerDirect's social media channels and executive platforms.
  • Research industry trends, viral formats, and platform updates to develop timely, engaging content.
  • Write compelling hooks, captions, and social copy optimized for each platform.

Content Production
  • Conceptualize, plan, and film social media content featuring employees, executives, customers, and other on-camera talent.
  • Coordinate and assist with video shoots in both office and event settings.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes, educational, promotional, and lifestyle content.

Video Editing
  • Edit engaging short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and other social platforms.
  • Edit long-form video content, including podcasts, interviews, webinars, and other branded content.
  • Create polished social clips with captions, motion graphics, hooks, and platform-specific formatting.
  • Optimize content for audience retention and platform performance using current social media best practices.

Design & Content Creation
  • Design social media graphics using Canva.
  • Create carousel posts, promotional graphics, and other visual assets for social media.
  • Ensure all creative assets align with ConsumerDirect's brand guidelines.

Required Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in social media, content creation, digital marketing, communications, or a related field. (Required)
  • 2-3 years of professional video editing experience, including editing content featuring live people. (required)
  • Professional experience using Adobe Premiere Pro (required).
  • Experience editing both short-form social content (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) and long-form video content (podcasts, interviews, webinars, etc.).
  • Experience conceptualizing, filming, and editing content for social media from start to finish.
  • 2+ years of experience using Canva to create social graphics and carousel posts.
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant video editing, social media content, and design work is required and must be submitted with the application.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, X (Twitter), and current social media best practices.
  • Excellent storytelling, communication, and copywriting skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience filming with DSLR, mirrorless cameras, or iPhone content creation.
  • Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation.
  • Experience working with executives, personal brands, or corporate social media accounts.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and content performance metrics.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Primarily office-based with standard business hours.
  • Requires prolonged periods at a desk and the ability to use computers, editing software, and office equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and transport camera equipment, lighting, or other production gear.
  • Ability to attend company events and participate in occasional on-site content production.
