Job description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee daily field operations on active construction projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedules, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with contract documents, codes, and company standards.

This role requires strong leadership, hands-on field experience, and the ability to manage complex job sites in occupied or sensitive environments.

General Accountabilities

  • Supervise crews and subcontractors on active job sites with a hands-on approach
  • Plan daily work activities, including scheduling, manpower, and task coordination
  • Manage construction sequencing and site logistics
  • Enforce OSHA safety requirements and maintain Site Safety Plans (SSP)
  • Oversee quality control and workmanship
  • Maintain daily reports, documentation, and photo records
  • Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and building management
  • Communicate clearly with field and office personnel
  • Make sound field decisions and resolve jobsite issues
  • Use mobile devices reliably for field communication and reporting

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards
  • OSHA 30 certification required (or ability to obtain)
  • Proven experience managing multiple trades simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with regulated abatement work is a plus
