Job description

This client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join an exciting startup environment in the automotive space. In this role, you will be directly involved in building groundbreaking robotics solutions from the ground up. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, dynamic settings and is eager to take ideas from initial concept through design, prototyping, testing, all the way to real-world deployment. 
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, or equivalent in mechanical engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience with electro-mechanical systems design, preferably in industrial or robotics sectors
  • Proficient at designing, specifying, and integrating actuators, motors, sensors (including encoders, load cells, proximity sensors)
  • Experienced in CAD software (SolidWorks, Onshape, or equivalent)
  • Skilled in engineering drawings and GD&T practices
  • Familiar with PLM systems (Arena or equivalent), including document control and BOM management
  • Strongs hands-on skills in troubleshooting and debugging mechatronic systems
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DfM) for low or medium-volume production
  • Skills in system modeling, simulation, vibration analysis, and industrial controls
  • Able to develop engineering documentation processes
  • Proficiency in Matlab or Python
