About the Role


We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who thrives on owning projects from concept through production. In this role, you will design and customize pressure-containing equipment and mechanical systems for a range of industrial applications.


This is a hands-on engineering position where your designs are not just theoretical-you'll see them built, tested, and used in real-world environments.


Key Responsibilities


  • Design and modify pressure-containing equipment and mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks
  • Interpret customer specifications, datasheets, and industry requirements to develop compliant design solutions
  • Perform engineering calculations (pressure design, stress analysis, tolerances, material selection)
  • Ensure designs meet applicable codes and standards (e.g.,ASME, PED, IECEx, CRN)
  • Create and release detailed drawings, models, routers, andBills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Support product testing, certification, and technical documentation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, sales, and quality teams
  • Applydesign for manufacturability (DFM) principles to improve production efficiency
  • Troubleshoot design issues and contribute to continuous product improvement


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
  • Strong proficiency inSolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
  • Familiar with ASME codes and pressure-containing equipment design
  • Understanding of machining, fabrication, and assembly processes
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive, ownership mindset

Preferred Qualifications


  • 3+ years of mechanical design experience inoil & gas, energy, or industrial manufacturing
  • Experience with:
    • Valves, regulators, or pressure control equipment
    • Instrumentation or electrical components
    • Engineering calculations
    • Validating designs
  • Familiarity with certification standards (PED, CRN, IECEx)
