Summary: The Gas Measurement Technician ensures the accuracy and reliability of gas measurement equipment used for production and sales. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, monitoring, analysis, and optimization of measurement systems, as well as maintaining data integrity to support reliable reporting, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Including, but not limited to:
  • Support Production teams with field measurement devices, applications, and troubleshooting in line with company and industry standards
  • Install, configure, and maintain electronic flow measurement (EFM) hardware, software, transducers, and automated valve equipment
  • Collect, monitor, and analyze production and sales measurement data; troubleshoot meter and system issues as needed
  • Identify and resolve measurement inaccuracies, coordinating with appropriate personnel to ensure accurate data correction and reporting
  • Support measurement design reviews and collaborate with Engineering to ensure field-ready, accurate measurement for new construction projects
  • Respond to corrective work orders, track costs and results in company systems, and provide on-call coverage, travel, and vacation relief as needed

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of (2+) years of oil and gas experience
  • Understanding of test vessels, piping, meters and O&G operations
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic computer skills and to learn company-specific applications

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years' experience working in a measurement-related field
  • Ability to communicate effectively among various work teams
  • Knowledge of SCADA and basic programming
