Principal/ Sr. Principal Software Engineer (LabVIEW/TestStand) 3 | San Diego, California, United States
Indotronix is seeking an Onsite Job: Principal / Sr. Principal Software Engineer (LabVIEW/TestStand) Level 3
Work Location: San Diego, CA 92128
Work Schedule: 9x80 A
Education: Bachelor's Degree in STEM Required
Active DoD Secret Clearance Required to Start
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of professional experience, Master's degree with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year of experience.
  • Proven experience with National Instruments LabVIEW data acquisition systems and programming.
  • Experience developing measurement and test routines in the LabVIEW environment.
  • Experience defining development test plans and methods to ensure robust designs and validating designs against customer, internal, and regulatory/government requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize and prioritize assignments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience documenting design analysis reports and test reports.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet project schedules.
Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Software Engineer:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of professional experience, Master's degree with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years of experience.
  • Proven experience with National Instruments LabVIEW data acquisition systems and programming.
  • Experience developing measurement and test routines using LabVIEW/TestStand.
  • Experience defining development test plans and methods to ensure robust designs and validating designs against customer, internal, and regulatory/government requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience documenting design analysis reports and test reports.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet project schedules.
  • U.S. Citizenship and an Active DoD Secret Clearance are required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience planning, designing, developing, and testing LabVIEW algorithms, test environments, and systems for space and military applications.
  • Ability to develop design solutions for challenging performance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working within cross-functional engineering teams.
  • CLAD, CLD, or CLA LabVIEW Certifications.
  • Experience collaborating with Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Systems, Test, and Production Engineering teams.
  • Experience translating customer requirements and functional block diagrams into control models.
  • Experience reviewing and updating control system requirements to meet system-level performance objectives.
  • Experience conducting trade studies and presenting alternative design solutions.
