Title: LabVIEW / LabWindows CVI Engineer (NI TestStand, PXI/DAQ)
Location: Foxboro, MA 02035 (100% Onsite)

Job Description: 

We are seeking a skilled LabVIEW / LabWindows CVI Engineer with strong experience in National Instruments (NI) tools and hardware platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, debugging, and executing automated test systems using NI TestStand and LabWindows CVI, along with integrating hardware and instrumentation for validation and testing environments.

This role requires hands-on expertise in test automation, hardware integration, and system-level validation in a fast-paced engineering environment. 
Responsibilities: 
 

  • Develop and maintain test sequences using NI TestStand
  • Integrate and debug LabWindows CVI code modules
  • Design and support test automation frameworks, result management, and reporting
  • Work with NI hardware platforms (DAQ, PXI/PXIe, cRIO, cDAQ, SCXI)
  • Perform instrument control and automation (Oscilloscope, DMM, Function Generator, Power Supply)
  • Handle communication interfaces such as RS-232, RS-485, USB, Ethernet, TCP/IP, GPIB
  • Develop automated reports and data logging (Excel, CSV, PDF, HTML)
  • Integrate test systems with databases (SQL, ODBC, OLE DB)
  • Troubleshoot system-level issues across CVI, TestStand, drivers, and OS
  • Validate compatibility after upgrades and perform system-level testing
  • Prepare technical documentation, validation reports, and change logs 
 
Required Skills: 
  • Strong experience with LabWindows CVI (2012+) on Windows 10
  • Hands-on experience with NI TestStand (development, debugging, execution)
  • Experience with NI hardware (DAQ, PXI, PXIe, cRIO, cDAQ, SCXI)
  • Strong knowledge of test instrumentation and automation systems
  • Experience with data logging and automated report generation
  • Understanding of communication protocols (RS232, GPIB, TCP/IP, etc.)
  • Experience with database integration (SQL, ODBC, OLE DB)
  • Knowledge of DLL components and system dependencies
Preferred skills: 
  • Experience with LabVIEW
  • Familiarity with system-level validation and performance testing
  • Exposure to hardware-software integration environments
