Job description

BlackRock Resources is seeking a mid-level engineer focused on testing and validating electronic product lines, working under moderate supervision alongside senior engineers. This is a full-time, direct hire position following a hybrid work schedule.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and execute system-level integration tests covering firmware, hardware, electrical, and mechanical aspects
  • Develop and maintain automated test applications in Python, LabVIEW, and TestStand
  • Support regulatory compliance testing (UL, FCC, CE, EMI/EMC/safety)
  • Troubleshoot electrical components using schematics, PCB tools, and lab equipment
  • Assist with PCBA test fixture development and manufacturing support
  • Contribute to technical documentation (manuals, drawings, work instructions)

Required Background

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, EE Technology, Software Engineering, or similar
  • 4+ years testing electrical hardware or developing automated test systems

Key Skills Needed

  • Hands-on experience with Python, LabVIEW, and TestStand
  • Familiarity with lab equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies)
  • Knowledge of communication protocols: BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, networking
  • Understanding of DC and three-phase AC power distribution
  • Familiarity with QA processes and tools like Jira/Confluence is a plus
