Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook/Line Cook to join MOSU Asian BBQ & Hot Pot’s culinary team. As Line Cook, you will be a part of a dedicated team delivering the highest standards of food quality, safety, production and presentation. Duties include prepping meat, seafood, and vegetables; using kitchen tools safely; following food safety standards; and preparing sauces, marinades, stocks, soups, and hot dishes. You’ll work from daily prep lists and recipes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to be a part of a new and exciting team to deliver exceptional food and dining experiences in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Completes opening and closing checklists.

  • Ensures the preparation station and the kitchen is clean, set up and stocked (ie. Fryers, char broilers, sauté burners, ovens, woks, rice cookers, steam table, refrigeration equipment, etc.).

  • Prepares menu ingredients by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces, marinades and stocks

  • Refers to Menu Binder for recipes, portion sizes & plating.

  • Reports to the Executive/Head Chef and follow instructions on the Daily Prep List.

  • Understands and complies with set portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.

  • Ensures food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.

  • Cleans prep areas and takes care of leftovers.

  • Stocks inventory and supplies.

  • Cooks and prepares menu items with the support of the kitchen team.

Qualifications:
