About Our Family
We are a busy and active family living in a historic home in Indianapolis with two young children, one elderly cat, and a baby on the way this September. We both work full-time and spend most weekdays in the office, with occasional travel for conferences and client visits. When we do work from home, we have a dedicated home office space that is important to our daily workflow and focus.
Our home is full of energy, constant movement, and lots of love, but like many working parents, we often feel like we're constantly chasing the clutter and trying to stay one step ahead of the day-to-day logistics of family life. We live by our calendar, and while we've tried to create systems, many of them no longer function in a way that truly supports how we live right now. Things like laundry can easily take over an entire Sunday, and the constant mental load of meal planning and figuring out "what's for dinner" can feel overwhelming in an already full week.
We're looking for someone who can step into the natural rhythm of our household, help things run smoothly, and bring thoughtful, proactive support without overcomplicating what already works. We deeply value communication, coordination, reliability, and small thoughtful touches that make everyday life feel lighter and more manageable. We hope to find someone who can integrate seamlessly into our household and become a trusted presence in our daily routine.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
You are observant, proactive, and comfortable working independently without needing constant direction. You notice the small things before they become bigger issues, whether that's recognizing when the litter box needs attention or replacing batteries before they run out. You take initiative naturally, while also respecting household preferences and the specific ways things are done.
You are warm, thoughtful, and communicative without needing to fill every quiet moment. You understand that our home office is an important workspace and are mindful of boundaries and focus time during the workday. You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and genuinely enjoy creating a sense of order, calm, and ease within a busy household.
You are adaptable and comfortable with the natural ebb and flow that comes with a home full of young children. You understand that flexibility is essential and are able to shift priorities as needed. Most importantly, you value open communication, welcome feedback, and are interested in building a long-term relationship with a family rather than simply completing tasks day to day.
