Job description

Position Summary: The Supply Chain Technician I is an entry level Supply Chain Technician. A Supply Chain Technician I works by assignment on a daily basis and demonstrates accuracy and the ability to work within designated time frames and department guidelines in at least one of the major Supply Chain functions to include: 1. Receiving and put away of supplies in the Main Warehouse. 2. Picking and packing supplies from inventory for distribution to the Main Hospital campus and the Offsite locations. 3. Receiving supplies at the Main Hospital campus from the MDC, from the Medical Surgical Distributor or Vendor Direct orders. Demonstrates knowledge of all department delivery locations and supply routes for distribution of supplies to the appropriate supply par closets. 4. Receiving linens at the Main Hospital campus and demonstrates knowledge of all linen routes for the accurate distribution of linens to the appropriate linen par location. 5. Restocks specialty cart contents and distributes specialty carts to end user clinical departments. 6. Electronically orders, issues and discontinues rental beds and distributes medical equipment to departments using hospital systems and according to hospital guidelines. 7. Accurately enters all transactions related to these activities within the appropriate SC MMIS System. 8. Must work well with others, having excellent communication skills and demonstrate a collaborative approach within a team environment. May perform other duties as assigned that may include, all mailroom and messenger duties and driving hospital vehicles to deliver and distribute supplies to the Main Hospital Campus and the offsite PVHMC clinic locations. May perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Must have a valid California Driver's License. High School Graduate or equivalent. Must have Supply Chain Experience in the distribution of supplies, equipment and linen and/or warehouse experience such as receiving, picking, palletization and distribution of supplies. Must have the ability to perform data entry functions in the applicable Supply Chain System. Must be willing to work any shift including nights, weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications: Insurable under the Hospital's vehicle insurance policy. Associate of Arts or Bachelor’s Degree. Power equipment certification. Forklift operator and pallet jack experience. Medical product knowledge. Lawson and Cerner MMIS experience and Linen Systems Experience.

Salary Range: $25.12 - $34.61 hourly. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
