Job Summary
The Dispatch Supervisor functions as the leader for the shift/team. The superviosr is responsible for shift assignments, staff schedules, and grid assignments, while still performing all duties and responsibilities of a dispatcher when necessary. The Dispatch Supervisor observes, corrects, and documents any tasks or actions that either need commending or correcting and reports them to the director.
Key Responsibilities

  • Leads the shift/team.

  • Works with the other leaders to create, deliver, assess, and adapt the training of all newly hired and current dispatchers to maintain the skills and proficiency of the dispatch center staff.

  • Assists in creating a QA/CQI program and identifies adaptable KPIs to be used to monitor, evaluate, and educate the dispatch center staff.

  • Report items to the director that need attention, either positive or negative.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience: 2 years Emergency Services, Public Service, Customer Service or Call Center Experience Preferred

  • License: Motor vehicle operator's license

  • Additional Requirements: Ability to read, write and understand English and the able to type a minimum of 25 words per minute. Ability to present educational materials to individuals or groups within the dispatch department.
