Job description

Company Overview
Nestig is a venture-backed baby brand bringing thoughtful design to nursery and children's spaces. We create sustainably sourced, heirloom-quality furniture crafted by family-owned Brazilian factories - blending beauty, function, and care to help families create meaningful spaces.

Position Summary
We are seeking an MBA Intern to work directly with Nestig's co-founders on building and launching a new product line. This role offers the opportunity to be a hands on builder across strategy, product development, operations, and go-to-market execution.

This is a highly entrepreneurial position designed for someone who aspires to start their own consumer company and is eager to learn by doing. You will operate with significant ownership - driving key decisions and executing across multiple facets of the business - while receiving support and mentorship from experienced operators.

Internship dates are flexible between May 11 and August 7, with a minimum two-month commitment required.

This full-time position will be based out of our NYC office (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays), with no flexibility for remote full-time.

What You'll Do
  • Partner closely with the co-founders to build and launch a new consumer product line (0 1);
  • Own execution across key workstreams to ensure the venture is live by the end of the internship;
  • Translate a defined concept into a fully operational product and brand;
  • Conduct targeted market research and customer validation to refine positioning;
  • Help create and execute go-to-market strategy;
  • Build financial models and track key business metrics;
  • Design and run scrappy, fast-paced experiments across marketing, growth, and operations;
  • Take full ownership of workstreams, operating with accountability and a strong bias toward action.
Who You Are
  • Currently pursuing an MBA
  • Deep interest in consumer brands, startups, and entrepreneurship
  • Strong desire to start your own company in the future
  • Highly action-oriented - you default to doing, not just analyzing
  • Thrives in ambiguity while driving toward clear, concrete outcomes
  • Resourceful and scrappy, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
What You'll Gain
  • Hands-on experience launching a real business that goes live during your internship
  • Direct mentorship and close collaboration with Nestig's co-founders
  • Ownership over meaningful work with visible impact
  • A deep understanding of what it actually takes to launch and operate a consumer brand
  • A strong foundation for future roles in startups, venture, or founding your own company
Location & Timing
  • Internship dates are flexible between May 11 and August 7, with a minimum two-month commitment required
  • Must be able to work onsite in our New York office in Flatiron three (3) days a week [Monday, Wednesday, Thursday]
