Job description

Salary: $28 - $33 / per hour

Schedule:
Day Shift and Night Shift Openings
8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts available.

Maxim Healthcare in Floyd County is hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work with Pediatric and/or Adult patients in their own homes.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
  • Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from the prescriber any necessary revisions as the patient's status and needs change
  • Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
  • Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to the appropriate physician or supervisor
  • Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as monitors and documents the effectiveness of the intervention
  • Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting,and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements:
  • Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state in which the LPN will practice.
  • Current TB or Chest X-Ray.
  • Current BLS card.
  • One year of prior professional nursing experience preferred
