Job description

Wastewater Operator-in-Training: The Paid Internship With Real-World Impact
NapaSan collects, treats, recycles, and disposes wastewater for the Napa community. NapaSan is always looking for individuals who are seeking a career as a wastewater operator and need hours for their state certification. The successful applicant will work alongside trained professionals as they learn treatment processes, instrumentation calibration, equipment operations and other tasks. The Operator-in-Training (OIT) positions are paid internship positions for individuals to gain experience in the industry alongside professional operators.

Minimum Qualifications:
Grade I OIT applicants must submit a copy of their high school diploma or equivalent (GED), along with six educational points. ( A three-unit college semester course in math or science equals eight educational points; ten classroom hours equal one educational point.)

  • Willingness to do physical labor with hand and power tools outdoors in all weather
