JOB TITLE: High School Summer Internship
REPORTS TO: Department Manager with direction from Team Captain
SHIFT DAYS /HOURS: Monday - Thursday, 3 p.m. - 1 a.m.*
LENGTH OF PROGRAM: Ends August 31, 2026
Please note: This position is only offered to individuals over the age of 18.
*Specific hours will be discussed and agreed upon during the interview process, The hours listed are for a normal shift for this position.
Bonnell Aluminum is seeking a motivated 2026 high school graduate for a summer internship with an interest in machining and the manufacturing industry. Individuals enrolled or have graduated from higher level education are ineligible for this program. This hands-on opportunity will give students exposure to modern machining processes, production environments, and real-world manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, safety-conscious, and interested in developing technical skills while working alongside experienced professionals.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Operating various types of machinery including (but not limited to):
- CNC machines
- Fanuc Robots
- Automated Cells
- Production CTL saws
- Punch Presses
- Bending machines
Moving material throughout the manufacturing environment
Maintaining all specified tolerances per instructions and drawings
Inspiring others to work efficiently, defuse conflict, and make good decisions
Work Environment/Physical Demands/Job Requirements:
Ability to push, pull, or lift heavy loads
Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide whole numbers).
Maintain excellent attendance
Ability to work with little to no supervision
Able to work overtime, as needed
