Job description

Imagine Learning is an award-winning Educational Technology company, based in Provo, UT. We open doors of opportunity for children across the country. We are hiring part-time math teachers to work with our online students via chat to provide high-quality, efficient instruction with the goal of encouraging student effort and supporting conceptual understanding. We offer professional development and real world math teaching experience without the typical challenges of classroom management.

We offer four-hour shifts between 12 noon and 6 p.m. MDT.

Qualifications

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
  • State teaching certification required

Experience

  • Three to five years of teaching experience preferred

Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to multitask and independently problem solve
  • Ability to teach math content contained within the Imagine Math program (i.e., Grades 2 through Geometry)
  • Strong personality and communication skills
  • Strong technology skills with an emphasis on typing skills and the Microsoft Office software suite
  • If bilingual, fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Ability to respond to challenging situations appropriately
  • Ability to work professionally in an office setting
  • Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
