Salary: 16-18

Who We Are

At Sylvan Learning Center in Lehi, we don't just prep students for a test, we build confidence that lasts well beyond test day. Our center is growing, and we're looking for sharp, energetic educators who love watching students have that "I've got this" moment.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver personalized, engaging ACT prep instruction across English, Math, Reading, and Science
  • Teach practical test-taking strategies that help students work smarter and more confidently
  • Track each student's progress and adjust your approach to meet their individual needs
  • Keep center staff in the loop with clear, consistent communication
  • Show up as a positive, encouraging presence that students actually look forward to seeing

What We're Looking For

We'd love to find someone who can confidently teach all four ACT sections, but we're also open to specialists in Math or Science. If that's your strength, we want to hear from you.

  • Bachelor's degree completed or in progress (education, STEM, English, or related field preferred)
  • Prior tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience is a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of ACT content and format
  • Reliable, organized, and genuinely student-focused
  • A communicator who connects well with teenagers

Schedule & Availability

This role is built around student schedules, so flexibility is key. We're looking for candidates who can offer 2+ hour blocks of availability, 23 times per week, typically during after-school hours, evenings, and/or weekends. If your availability shifts from semester to semester, let's talk. We're used to working with educators who juggle multiple commitments.

What We Offer

  • $16$18/hour, commensurate with experience
  • Flexible part-time hours that work around your schedule too
  • Ready-to-use curriculum. You focus on teaching, we handle the rest
  • A supportive team environment at our Lehi center
  • The very real satisfaction of watching a student's score and confidence climb

Ready to Apply?

Submit your resume along with a short note (a few sentences are plenty) telling us which ACT subjects are your strongest and what draws you to working with students at this stage of their academic journey. We review applications regularly and will be in touch!
