BASIC SKILLS TEACHER - ROEBLING ELEMENTARY SCHOOLย

Position: ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Basic Skills Teacher

Location: ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  Roebling Elementary Schoolย 

Qualifications:

  • Valid New Jersey Elementary School Teacher Certification required
  • Demonstrated experience teaching mathematics
  • Strong knowledge of math content, including number sense, operations, fluency, problem-solving, and conceptual understanding required
  • Experience providing math intervention,ย basic skillsย instruction, or small-group support preferred
  • Ability to use assessment data to identifyย skillย gaps, plan targeted instruction, and monitor student progress required
  • Knowledge of RTI/MTSS and evidence-based math intervention strategies preferred

Keyย Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted small-group and individualized math instruction
  • Support students in developing number sense, math fluency, problem-solving, and conceptual understanding
  • Use assessment data to identify student needs and monitor progress
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, interventionists, and administrators
  • Implement research-based math strategies and interventions
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress
  • Communicate student growth and concerns with staff and families, as needed
  • Help create a positive learning environment where students build confidence in math
