Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our team as an Associate Vehicle Data Analyst.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, investigating complex problems, identifying patterns, and transforming information into actionable insights. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving the quality, coverage, and performance of our vehicle diagnostic solutions for major North American automotive brands.

As an Associate Vehicle Data Analyst, you will leverage vehicle diagnostic data, service information, customer feedback, and product performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement, uncover root causes of issues, and support strategic product decisions. You will work closely with software developers, validation teams, content authors, and global engineering organizations to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Success in this role requires a combination of analytical thinking, technical curiosity, automotive knowledge, and a passion for continuous learning.

Core Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Investigation

  • Analyze vehicle diagnostic data, validation results, quality metrics, and customer feedback to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Perform root-cause investigations to determine underlying causes of product quality issues and coverage gaps.
  • Research and interpret OEM service information, repair procedures, and vehicle system documentation to support product development and validation activities.
  • Develop data-driven recommendations to improve product quality, reliability, and customer experience.
  • Convert large volumes of technical and diagnostic information into actionable insights for engineering and business teams.

Product & Validation Support

  • Support the development and maintenance of vehicle coverage strategies for assigned automotive brands and vehicle platforms.
  • Collaborate with validation teams to define test coverage priorities and ensure critical vehicle systems are adequately validated.
  • Participate in the investigation and resolution of quality issues, Open Point Lists (OPLs), and customer-reported concerns.
  • Monitor product performance and customer usage data to help prioritize future development efforts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with software developers, content authors, validation engineers, and global engineering teams.
  • Communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and evidence-based decision making.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, analytical methodologies, and reporting capabilities.
Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Automotive Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

Technical Skills

  • Basic knowledge of SQL, relational databases, data analysis tools, or similar technologies.
  • Strong ability to analyze, organize, and interpret data to support decision making.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other analytical software tools.
  • Experience with data visualization, reporting tools, or dashboard development is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Python, Power BI, or similar analytical tools is a plus.

Automotive Knowledge

  • Understanding of vehicle diagnostics, automotive systems, and repair processes.
  • Ability to research and interpret OEM service information and technical documentation.
  • Experience in automotive service, diagnostics, dealership operations, validation, or related automotive fields is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with ADAS, electronic vehicle systems, and modern vehicle architectures is beneficial.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $76,000 - $85,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
