These skills ensure safe, empathetic, and evidence-based care for mothers and newborns throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum periods.

The goal of maternity care is to ensure the health and well-being of both the mother and baby, and it includes regular checkups, screenings, education, and support. Maternity care providers may include obstetricians, midwives, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
