Job Description:

AriensCo is looking for a dynamic Materials Manager at our Brillion, WI location to play a critical leadership role in driving daily and monthly operational success. This position leads continuous improvement efforts across material replenishment, inventory management, and supplier communication-ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support business goals.

THE DAY TO DAY...

  • Responsiblefor daily operations on the production floor, including leading leaders, staffing, training and troubleshooting to ensure that all operations are in full compliance and meet or exceed safety guidelines

  • Remove material flow inefficiencies and waste from the operation

  • Partner with Sourcing to ensure accountability of all vendors and suppliers to deliver quality parts on time in order to meet build requirements

  • Manage the team to 'scale' the business needs

  • Manage the shipping, receiving, storing, dunnage and movement of materials

  • Manage and improve "point of use" storage

  • Work with suppliers to strategically decrease line side requirements by use of right sized containers

  • Manage cost on returnable packaging; reduce bulk to right sizing

  • Lead JIT delivery refinement - milks runs, daily deliveries, LTL vs. FTL

  • Partner with Supply Chain to help resolve supplier contract issues, quality and delivery issues

  • Ensure the efficient and continuous flow ofmaterialsbetween departments according to production demand and schedule

  • Facilitate effectivecommunicationbetween internal production departments and external suppliers

  • Manage the process to issue signals to suppliers to deliver material to assigned areas. (kanban, forecast, visuals, purchase orders, etc)

  • Execute continuous improvement throughout assigned area

  • Set goals, monitor progress, and ensure accountability for team with appropriate coaching and development.

  • Execute training, coaching and direction for development of team members

THE QUALIFICATIONS...

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations and or materials

  • APIC Certification preferred

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
