Physician Consultant, Systems, Solutions & Deployment
Department: Systems, Solutions & Deployment (SSD)
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG) is one of Georgia's largest independent, physician-owned, multi-specialty medical groups. More than 700 physicians and 300 associate practitioners work together in a unique integrated care model to provide high-quality care to Kaiser Permanente members. Our focus is on long-term health, effective prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease. Care is delivered across more than 40 specialties at 25+ medical offices and multiple affiliated hospitals throughout metro Atlanta.
We are seeking a Physician Consultant, Systems, Solutions & Deployment to support the continued optimization of KP HealthConnect (Epic) across the Georgia Region. This physician leader will collaborate with physicians, operational leaders, Health Plan partners, and technical teams to improve clinical workflows, enhance system functionality, and support strategic technology initiatives that advance patient care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a physician consultant supporting the implementation, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of KP HealthConnect.
  • Collaborate with the Systems, Solutions & Deployment team and regional stakeholders to improve clinical workflows and system functionality.
  • Participate in clinical content review and development for regional Epic builds.
  • Represent the Georgia SSD team on local, regional, and national projects, committees, and workgroups.
  • Provide physician input during system design, testing, validation, and deployment of new functionality.
  • Review and provide clinical guidance on training materials to support physician and staff education.
  • Conduct demonstrations of KP HealthConnect capabilities to support operational and clinical initiatives.
  • Evaluate existing clinical workflows and recommend improvements that leverage Epic functionality.
  • Participate in testing of software enhancements, upgrades, and issue resolution.
  • Serve as a liaison between practicing physicians, operational leaders, and information technology teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Act as a physician champion for KP HealthConnect by communicating system updates, best practices, and organizational priorities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
  • Current unrestricted Georgia medical license or ability to obtain one.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in an approved specialty consistent with TSPMG credentialing requirements.
  • Active shareholder, shareholder-track physician, or eligible to participate in accordance with TSPMG requirements.
  • Good standing with The Southeast Permanente Medical Group.
  • Strong interest in clinical informatics, healthcare technology, workflow optimization, and physician engagement.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
