Responsibilities

Nursing Informatics: Scope and Standards of Practice, Second Edition, 2015 defines Nursing Informatics as: 'Nursing informatics (NI) is the specialty that integrates nursing science with multiple information and analytical sciences to identify, define, manage, and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in nursing practice. NI supports nurses, consumers, patients, the interprofessional healthcare team, and other stakeholders in their decision-making in all roles and settings to achieve desired outcomes. This support is accomplished through the use of information structures, information processes, and information technology'. This nursing informatics leader position provides oversite of system design and development, education, support, and evaluation across Northside Hospital system with the goal of improving health to our patient populations. Supporting activities include, but are not limited to the identification of issues and the design, development, and implementation of effective informatics solutions and technologies within the clinical, administrative, educational, and research domains of practice.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Current RN Licensure in the State of Georgia
  • Six (6) years of healthcare clinical systems.
  • Four (4) years prior leadership/management experience in a healthcare environment, healthcare systems consulting, or healthcare systems vendor setting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • PREFERRED

  •  Master's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Work Hours (EX:7AM-7PM):7AM - 3PMWeekend Requirements:NoOn-Call Requirements:NoEmployment Type: FULL_TIME
