Job description

Resonant Sciences has an immediate opening for a Material Planner to join our Dayton, Ohio team to support design, development, and production of aerospace structures including radomes and antennas. The position provides an opportunity to join an elite team whose primary mission is to support our Nation's War Fighters. The candidate for this position must be a self-starter who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment without the need for regular, direct oversight. This individual will serve as an integral member of a Supply Chain Team that will support multiple Resonant Sciences Ohio locations. This individual will work in our Beavercreek, OH office full- time, Monday โ€“ Friday (1st Shift). Travel requirements will be less than 5% per year.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a Material Planner to compile, plan, and schedule material requirements for new awards.
The selected Material Planner will have responsibility for the following areas:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional program teams to manage bill of materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory supply ensuring manufacturing teams have materials on hand to meet customer deliveries.
  • Submit RFQs for all planned material purchase requests.
  • Submit Purchase Requisitions for all required material requirements.
  • Monitor material deliveries to ensure production schedules are not impacted.
  • Cultivate supplier relationships, support supplier reviews and develop new suppliers in support of manufacturing demand.
  • Monitor and reconcile any relevant Supply Chain disruptions that develop throughout the project lifecycle. Develop solutions minimized schedule and cost impact.
  • Provide timely notice to Engineering regarding obsolete and expiring material impacts.
  • Effective interaction and communication with the Program Manager regarding material deliveries and/or delays.
  • Identify process improvements opportunities and facilitate implementation.
  • In conjunction with the ERP system manager inventory levels through accurate record keeping and periodic cycle counts.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in a relevant field with five (5) years of Procurement experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field.
  • Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and self-prioritize.
  • Proven track record of handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Proven record of working well in a team environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain processes.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Flexibility and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
