The Material Planner, Pulp is responsible for ordering materials according to specifications, maintaining delivery schedules, coordinating with plant teams, and supporting procurement strategy by balancing contract volumes among preferred suppliers. This includes managing purchase orders, invoice error handling, and collaborating with logistics to meet manufacturing and stock requirements
Main Responsibilities:
  • PRICE AND CONDITION MANAGEMENT
    • Ensure that the Purchase orders are placed with reference to the contract when applies.
  • P2P
    • PO management to reflect supplier delivery schedule in the system.
    • Act as 1st line of contact for invoice 3-way matching error handling.
  • MATERIAL PLANNING
    • Calculate each raw material volume requirement for annual budget based on the sales team input and communicate this volume to Global Direct Category Manager
    • Manage the supply of materials according to the manufacturing schedule and stock levels (MRP); Monitor raw materials supply schedule and manage the raw materials flow; Managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
    • Collaborate with logistics to manage the supply of materials according to the sites logistics constraints
  • PROCESSES SUPPORT
    • Suggest methods to update, simplify, and enhance processes, procedures, and tools
  • PROCUREMENT STRATEGY SUPPORT
    • Identify spending not driven through preferred suppliers / Spot by alignment with the category management
    • Support the strategic objectives by balancing the contracts volumes assignment among the preferred suppliers and reporting them to category management.
  • PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
    • Manage supplier claims as well as supplier evaluations of plants according to Ahlstrom tools and procedures for Direct Materials.
    • Track each supplier raw material delivery service level of 'On-Time-As-Requested-In-Full (OTARIF)' and communicate to Direct Category Manager for improvement action requirement in case there are any major issues with Supplier's delivery service level.
  • SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
    • Be the first point of contact for the supplier customer service.

Education & Experience requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in material planning and transportation schedule
  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • Proven experience in supplier relationship management
  • Proven experience in driving and executing tasks and activities in Procure to Pay (P2P)
