Description
Position Summary
To safely and efficiently receive and transfer of donated goods and related items to the designated departments or areas using material handling equipment including the Forklift. Provide additional assistance to leadership as needed.
Essential Duties
(Other duties within the scope of this position may be assigned.)
1. Sort donated goods into the proper container for transfer to designated areas.
2. Safely and efficiently use material handling equipment, including the Forklift, to transport donated goods to the appropriate area and load trailers and containers when required.
3. Follow established procedures for the safe disposal of waste adhering to all recycling procedures.
4. Maintain good housekeeping of assigned areas inside and outside of the facility.
5. Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
6. May be required to fill in for other department positions when needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The associate in this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance
• High School Diploma or GED preferred. Will consider a combination of education and work experience.
• 1 year experience in a related field required.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
• The associate in this position will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.
• Associate will be required to operate a forklift. Associate must obtain a forklift certification within 30 days of starting in the position. Goodwill will provide training and certification.

Physical Demands/Work Environment/Work Conditions
• The associate is required to lift 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 pounds.
• The associate works in an environment with frequent exposure to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.).
• The associate must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as business needs dictate.
