Operator II - Lab Support
Location: Eugene, OR
Pay Rate: $ 19.00/hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
We are seeking an Operator II - Lab Support to support manufacturing laboratory operations in Eugene, OR. This role is responsible for managing laboratory supplies, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production teams, and ensuring labs remain organized, stocked, and operational. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing or laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage laboratory supply inventory by monitoring stock levels, ordering materials, organizing supplies, and maintaining efficient work areas.
  • Support daily production operations by ensuring required materials, glassware, and lab supplies are available when needed.
  • Clean, replenish, and maintain laboratory glassware and supplies according to established procedures.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Utilize inventory management systems (ERP) to complete transactions, track materials, and maintain supply visibility.
  • Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards for handling and storing materials.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and warehouse teams to support production goals.
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve workflow.
  • Perform additional laboratory support and material handling duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • 1+ year of experience in laboratory, manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and safety guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ERP inventory systems such as SAP, Oracle, E1, or similar platforms.
  • Background in inventory control, shipping/receiving, or materials management.
  • Familiarity with laboratory operations, glassware handling, and chemical safety procedures.

Physical Requirements
