Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related discipline.

3-5 years of overall professional experience with a minimum of 1+ years of experience in one of the following areas:

  • Supply Chain Management (all areas)
  • Manufacturing Operations (all areas)
  • MRP planning knowledge (discrete and inventory based) and analysis experience highly desirable.
  • Cognos Enterprise Reporting (data warehouse).
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization (oral and written).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated GD Land Systems product knowledge is a plus.
  • Must be technically competent using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT) and other computer software programs such as Team Center, Vis Mockup, iads, EMSNG.

 About the Role:

Serve as Supply Chain Management Material Planner interfacing with Procurement, Operations, Project Management, and functional support personnel for Material Requisition (MR) planning.

  • Analyze manual purchase requisitions to determine planning path forward based upon MRP data.
  • Minimizing excess inventory by analyzing MRP planning across multiple locations and facilitate transferring material between physical locations.
  • Oracle Master Scheduling and Planning of Independent and Dependent demands.
  • Perform project transfers to align inventory to requirements as needed.
  • Verify requirements using various systems including but not limited to Oracle (MRP), TipQA, Teamcenter, etc.
  • Conduct planning reporting and analysis.
  • Creating charts of pertinent data for management review.
  • Interface with procurement, Engineering, SE, and Production teams as required.
  • Work with SCM Operations and project representatives to resolve planning issues.
  • Assist material requisition requesters on creating requisitions and providing requisition status.
