Job description

Position Overview
The Planning Supervisor oversees daily planning and coordination of cold storage warehouse operations
to ensure inbound and outbound orders are executed safely, accurately, and on time. This role leads the
planning team, coordinates closely with warehouse operations, carriers, and customers, and ensures
compliance with customer requirements, service level agreements, food safety standards, and
temperature-control protocols. The Planning Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining operational
efficiency while promoting a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide daily oversight, coaching, and development of the planning team.
Coordinate receiving, picking, loading, and dispatch activities within cold storage operations.
Ensure all customer orders are accurately entered, planned, and maintained in the Warehouse
Management System (WMS).
Partner with warehouse leadership, shift leaders, and operators to optimize workflow and labor
efficiency.
Work directly with customers and carriers to ensure delivery requirements, appointment
adherence, and service commitments are met.
Manage service- and stock-related quality issues, including temperature deviations, damages,
and inventory discrepancies.
Monitor and communicate deviations from process, quality, or service standards, including risks
to customer service or food safety.
Ensure product integrity is maintained at all times, including compliance with temperature
controls and handling requirements.
Prepare and deliver agreed-upon reporting and performance communication to NewCold
customers.
Support site operations as required, including assisting with operational tasks during peak
periods.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work environment.
Actively identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in planning and
workflow processes.
