As The Material Planning Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and management of raw materials needed for production. You will ensure a consistent flow of inventory to meet production schedules while optimizing costs by utilizing MRP systems, collaborating with the corporate purchasing team, and monitoring supplier performance to maintain quality and delivery timelines.

You will provide project support to all departments as needed and follow procurement processes as outlined in accordance with standard operating procedures. You will support production and the flow of materials through the facility by overseeing the verification of raws and packs, managing schedule changes, controlling losses and maintaining inventory accuracy.  From your EXPERTISE to oursKey responsibilities for this position include:Responsible for the hiring, training, development, evaluation, discipline, and general supervision of staff.Develop and maintain departmental efficiency goals based on Key Performance metrics. Execute established KPIs and best practices.Define and monitor initiatives towards continuous improvement in efficiency and internal processes.Oversee WMS in Various investigations/problem solving, data collecting & work assignmentsCollaborate with sales and production teams to forecast future demand for raw materials, adjusting material plans accordinglyGenerate reports on inventory levels, material costs, and supplier performance to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-makingOversee material inventories to support the production plan while minimizing obsolescence.Analyze and order raw materials/packaging for Stonyfield production (fruit, flavors, packaging, corrugated, etc.) within specified supplier lead-time to ensure availability of materials to support production schedule.Issue purchase orders for raw materials and packaging.Troubleshoot and research problems with purchase orders and receiving discrepanciesDevelop packaging/raw material run out plans utilizing cross-functional teams.Track and follow up on raw materials on Quality HoldStrive to achieve monthly days on hand raw material goals as well as maintaining safety stock levels.Manage day-to-day support for the plant: scheduling, materials warehouse, production and WMS teams via detailed communications and OPL?s (one-point lessons).Receive and document inbound material/packaging delivery appointments.Monitor Days to Expire report for materials /packaging.Collaborate with Inventory and Receiving to strive for continuous improvement in all areas of manufacturing.Develop and implement strategies to reduce damaged materials, reduce the incidences of miss-picked materials and improve shift activity and efficiency measurementsRequirements From your STORY to oursQualified applicants will contribute the following:Experience:3+ years in supply chain/material planning experience is preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree is an asset strong excel skills is a must previous supervisory experience At Lactalis, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards Program with a variety of affordable benefits and coverage options.
