Job Description:
Supervisor will oversee the material planning and processes to ensure the timely and efficient supply of materials required for production. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing inventory ordering parameters and optimizing supply chain operations to meet production goals and minimize costs.
Essential Functions and Activities:
  • Develop and implement material planning strategies to ensure the availability of materials for production.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to align material supply with production schedules.
  • Analyze material requirements and forecast future needs based on production plans and sales forecasts.
  • Identify and resolve any material shortages or excesses to prevent production delays.
  • Ensures compliance with delivery expectations to achieve supplier on-time performance.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material planning processes and reduce costs.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of material planners.
