Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel Manager to join the leadership team at the Chicago Marriott Suites Deerfield.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in a full-service environment and knows how to bring together great people, strong operations, exceptional guest experiences, and solid financial performance.
As Hotel Manager, you will play a key leadership role in the overall success of the hotel, providing direction across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Guest Services. Working closely with the General Manager and department leaders, you will help drive service excellence, Associate engagement, operational efficiency, and profitability while ensuring Marriott and Crescent standards are consistently delivered.

What You'll Do
As Hotel Manager, you will be a highly visible leader throughout the property and an important partner to the General Manager and hotel leadership team. Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead daily hotel operations to ensure an exceptional and consistent guest experience.
  • Provide leadership and direction across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Guest Services.
  • Partner with department leaders to achieve guest satisfaction, Associate engagement, financial, labor, and operational goals.
  • Maintain a strong presence throughout the hotel, engaging with guests and Associates and identifying opportunities to continuously improve the operation.
  • Monitor guest feedback, service scores, and operational trends and develop action plans to improve performance.
  • Recruit, coach, develop, and retain talented leaders and Associates while building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and recognition.
  • Monitor occupancy, business levels, productivity, and staffing to ensure appropriate labor management and operational coverage.
  • Partner with hotel leadership on budgeting, forecasting, expense management, labor controls, and profitability initiatives.
  • Review departmental performance, expenses, inventory controls, and other key financial and operational indicators.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and proactively, ensuring appropriate follow-up and service recovery.
  • Partner with the General Manager to establish and maintain effective operating procedures and service standards.
  • Participate in hotel leadership, financial, operational, and departmental meetings.
  • Serve as a key property leader and provide leadership for the overall hotel operation in the General Manager's absence, as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Crescent policies, Marriott brand standards, safety requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain the flexibility necessary to support the hotel based on business and operational needs.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate is an experienced hotel operations leader who combines strong business acumen with a genuine passion for hospitality and developing people.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive hotel operations experience, preferably within a full-service or upscale hotel environment.
  • Previous senior-level hotel operations leadership experience required.
  • Strong operational knowledge across Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage.
  • Marriott brand experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building, developing, and leading high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to coach department leaders, establish accountability, and create a positive and engaging workplace culture.
  • Strong understanding of hotel financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, labor management, productivity, and cost controls.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Guest-focused mindset with a passion for service excellence and hospitality.
  • Ability to balance strategic priorities with a hands-on approach to daily hotel operations.
  • Professional, adaptable, and solution-oriented with the ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced hotel environment.
