The Marquee Club Presented by Lexus is the Fox Theatre's premium club space open to Club Level seat holders or annual Members only. Adjacent to the theatre, the Moroccan and Middle Eastern-style club is 10,000 square feet of luxury space that includes five premium bars; and three rooftop environments, including the climate-controlled Conservatory, patio-covered Arcade Terrace, and outdoor Rooftop Terrace. Open only during public events at the Fox Theatre, the Marquee Club offers a premium pre-show through post-show experience with benefits including early entry, private restrooms, 2 alcoholic beverages per event, pre-show food, onsite activations during select events, and more. Additional amenities include priority pre-sale ticketing notifications, concierge guest services, and self-parking access to an adjacent lot for some membership levels.

The Fox Theatre in Atlanta is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Security Officer.

The Fox Theatre Security Team is responsible for the safety and security of the Fox Theatre, its employees, guests, patrons, and assets at all times. Security Officers work in various posts on Fox Theatre property in event-related and non-event security capacities, including event security and screening, crowd management, 24/7 access control, and video monitoring.
Major Responsibilities:

  • Secure premises and personnel during public events by monitoring surveillance equipment, patrolling property, inspecting facility, and equipment, and controlling all access points. This includes stage access control, backstage, dressing rooms, emergency exits, and other static event-related security posts.
  • Set up and operate security screening equipment for all guests, employees, and artists, as needed, to prohibit specific items as instructed. This may include touchless security screening equipment, walk-through metal detection, hand-wands, bag searches, and more.
  • Control and monitor vehicle access into the alley, loading zone, and permitted parking areas. Allow authorized vehicles and prohibit unauthorized access as necessary. Set up and take down all parking permit requirements (cones, signs, bike rack, etc.) when needed.
  • Limit loss and damage by reporting and documenting any irregularities (trespassers, building damage, leaks, unsecured access points, etc.) and by informing violators of policies and procedures.
  • Provide crowd control and crowd management during public or private events as directed.
  • Respond immediately to emergencies, patron issues, or disturbances within the area of responsibility.
  • Other duties as directed.

Knowledge, Skills, & Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Must have strong communication skills;
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly and effectively;
  • Must possess general computer proficiency skills, including but not limited to word processing, e-mail, internet navigation, and web searches;
  • Must be able to work successfully both as part of a team and independently with limited instruction;
  • Must be able to use sound judgment and common sense effectively while under pressure;
  • Must be able to maintain strict company, staff, and guest confidentiality;
  • CPR and First Aid Training preferred;
  • Trained Crowd Managers Course preferred;
  • Experience with Avigilon or similar camera monitoring software preferred;
  • 3 or more years of Facility Security experience or customer service experience.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods during which there is continuous physical exertion required.
  • Must be able to frequently traverse the building including moving between multiple floors and ascending/descending stairs.
  • Must be able to lift materials or equipment up to 50 pounds occasionally and must be able to pull/push/move up to 100 pounds with assistance if necessary.
  • This position will require physically assisting guests and employees as needed.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to work extended or irregular hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Successful applicants must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check.
