The Vallejo Empress Marquee Club & Vallejo Empress Theater are seeking a skilled, personable Bartender to join our team.
Wanted Star-Quality Bartenders! Are you a “Tom Cruise” style bartender with a high-energy vibe? Do you make tending bar a performance that adds to the vibe, gets patrons uplifted, and makes them happy to have you create a drink for them? Does your shaker love to move to the sounds of world-class touring musicians as well as great local talent? Empress Theatre, a 114-year-old fully restored historic theatre, has an attached Marquee Club with 2 full premium bars & restaurant. The venue is moving to a 7-day schedule with nightly entertainment.
Do you get standing ovations for your speed and creative garnishes? We are looking for a star to raise the bar at a gorgeous historical venue with award-winning music, top-shelf lighting and sound systems... and great food. Come join
our dedicated team! Make this venue your Oscar-winning performance.

Schedule: Part-time, evenings, plus some weekend days and holidays as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft and serve high-quality cocktails, beer, and wine in a high-energy theater-and-club environment.
  • Provide engaging, attentive service while managing high-volume service windows (pre-show and intermission).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar, including prep and inventory tasks.
  • Accurately process transactions and manage bar tabs.
  • Strictly follow all health, safety, and responsible alcohol service (ABC) guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience bartending in a fast-paced or upscale setting.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, classic cocktails, and beer/wine pairings.
  • Availability evenings, with flexibility for some weekend days and holidays.
  • Excellent communication skills and a "theatrical" flair for hospitality.
  • Ability to stand, move, and lift bar supplies (kegs/cases) for extended periods.
