Marketing Manager

Location: Rochester, NY

Salary: $65,000-$90,000 annually, depending on experience

Reports To: Sales Manager / Company Leadership

Help build the future of marketing at Framing Technology. As our first in-house Marketing Manager, you'll have the opportunity to shape our digital marketing strategy, strengthen our online presence, and drive growth for a leading manufacturer of custom aluminum extrusion framing systems.

Role Summary

Framing Technology Inc. is looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager to own the day-to-day marketing engine for our aluminum framing business. This role is responsible for our website, SEO, social media, product marketing, content, campaigns, and sales enablement—helping customers discover, understand, compare, and ultimately choose Framing Tech. You'll work in a technical B2B manufacturing environment where curiosity, organization, and strong writing skills are essential. You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be willing to ask good questions and turn complex technical information into clear, compelling marketing for customers at every level of expertise.

You'll be joining a close-knit team of dedicated professionals, many of whom have been with Framing Tech for more than 10 years. We're bringing marketing in-house for the first time and building a stronger foundation for growth. If you enjoy taking ownership, working across departments, and seeing the direct impact of your work, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the future of our business.

What This Role Owns1. Website, SEO & Product Content
  • Maintain and improve website content, navigation, product information, technical resources, and images to improve usability, search visibility, and lead generation.

  • Coordinate website updates with internal stakeholders and outside vendors.

  • Monitor website traffic, search rankings, conversions, and overall performance.

  • Improve Framing Tech's visibility in traditional search and AI/LLM-driven search results.

2. Product Marketing & Sales Enablement
  • Develop and maintain product descriptions, brochures, sales sheets, comparison pages, FAQs, application stories, and technical content.

  • Interview sales and engineering teams to understand customer needs and create content that addresses applications, questions, objections, and buying decisions.

  • Build content that clearly communicates Framing Tech's capabilities, customization, quality, and competitive advantages.

3. Lead Generation & Campaign Execution
  • Plan and execute email, social media, product, application, and lead-generation campaigns that support sales growth.

  • Develop campaign briefs including audience, messaging, offers, channels, landing pages, and follow-up plans.

  • Own Framing Tech's social media strategy and execution, creating content that builds brand awareness, showcases applications and customer success stories, and supports lead generation across platforms.

  • Partner with sales to improve lead quality and conversion.

  • Support SEO, online advertising, and trade show marketing with outside vendors as needed.

4. Reporting, Analytics & Marketing Operations
  • Track website traffic, SEO, inquiries, social media performance, campaign performance, and key marketing metrics.

  • Maintain a monthly marketing report for leadership.

  • Manage marketing calendars, project priorities, vendors, and recommend improvements based on data.

As our marketing manager, you'll own the day-to-day execution of Framing Tech's marketing efforts-from website and SEO to social media, content creation, trade shows, digital campaigns, and sales support. As our marketing function grows, this role will continue to evolve with new opportunities to make an impact.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 90 days, this person will:

  • Learn Framing Tech's products, customers, applications, and sales process.

  • Audit the website and implement high-priority improvements, giving focus to product and category pages.

  • Establish marketing reporting and project management processes.

  • Create customer-facing marketing assets that support sales growth.

Required Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who brings a combination of the following skills and experience. Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we highly encourage you to apply!

  • 3–7 years of marketing experience in B2B manufacturing, industrial products, automation, distribution, ecommerce, or another technical industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong writing and editing skills for technical or product-focused content.

  • Experience managing website content through a CMS, e-commerce platform, or product catalog system.

  • Working knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, CRM systems, and digital marketing best practices.

  • Experience using AI tools to support research, content creation, and marketing workflows.

  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.

  • Experience creating product marketing materials such as product pages, brochures, application stories, sales sheets, or technical content.

  • Familiarity with Google Ads, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar marketing tools is a plus.

  • Experience with trade shows, email marketing, or campaign management is beneficial.

Benefits

  • 40 hours of sick time available to start (pro-rated depending on start date).
  • 80 hours of vacation; accrual basis and available to use after 90-day introductory period.
  • Company-paid high-deductible medical insurance. Additional plans are available for purchase with company contributions.
  • Company-paid dental insurance.
  • Vision insurance available for a low weekly deduction.
  • 4% 401K match
  • Company-paid short-term disability (in addition to state STD) and life insurance. Additional life insurance above company plan offered at a low cost.
