Job description

Be a part of our future vision and grow with us personally and professionally.

Now in it’s 11th year, Point of the Bluff Vineyards is poised for tremendous growth with the vision of leadership that we hope will include you. We are now at a point where we are comfortable with growing within all channels of sales including DTC, e-Commerce, Club, and Wholesale. Point of the Bluff is an acclaimed winery with passionate ownership and leadership as part of the Point of the Bluff Hospitality group who also has awarded and celebrated restaurants, sustainable farms, concert venues and events venues. This position is to focus on the growth of all things wine with our winery manager and management team.

Growth in this position will only be limited by creativity.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for driving revenue across tasting room, wine club, online sales, and wholesale distribution. You’ll be equally comfortable coaching staff during a busy Saturday, analyzing sales trends on Monday morning, and pitching placements to accounts midweek.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who understands that great wine sells through story, experience, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Direct-to-Consumer (DTC)

  • Represent the brand at trade events and tastings
  • Work with winery manager to create and execute a cohesive sales strategy across all channels
  • Analyze sales data and trends to inform decision‑making
  • Collaborate with other managers on product positioning and storytelling
  • Assist in forecasting and production planning based on sales goals
  • Lead by example—this is not a desk‑only role

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in wine sales, hospitality, or related field (management experience preferred)
  • An understanding of DTC sales and/or wholesale distribution with desire to learn and grow with the company
  • Proven drive to increase revenue and build customer relationships
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Passion for wine; knowledge of Finger Lakes wines a plus
  • Comfortable working weekends, events, and occasional travel
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn POS and CMS technology systems
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone who can balance hospitality and hustle
  • A natural leader who can motivate a team and hold standards
  • Creative thinker who brings fresh ideas to drive sales
  • Organized, accountable, and results‑driven
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys connecting people to wine
  • Someone with confidence to work alongside other passionate leaders and operate with transparency for the betterment of the company as a whole
