Position Overview

Harborside Group, a sales and marketing firm serving the financial industry and based in Towson, Maryland, is seeking a creative and organized marketing professional to join our collaborative team. This role combines graphic design, project support, and administrative responsibilities, offering the opportunity to work on a wide variety of initiatives for multiple financial services clients.


The ideal candidate has an eye for design, strong attention to detail, flexible, and enjoys working across multiple projects in a fast-paced boutique firm environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in design and marketing who also has an interest in developing their knowledge of the financial services industry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain client marketing materials and branded collateral as well as internal file systems, templates, and other shared design resources.
  • Assist in the creative development of marketing materials such as newsletters, flyers, video and social media graphics, email assets, presentations, and proposals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to support client projects from concept through completion.
  • Coordinate multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Provide administrative and project support as needed across a wide variety of client assignments.
  • Prepare and ensure all files meet technical specifications for both digital and print production.
  • Explore new technologies and AI-powered tools to improve workflows and marketing efficiency. 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in graphic design. Internship and freelance experience will be considered.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat. Also working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with email marketing and project management platforms, social media, website content management systems, or AI-powered marketing tools is a plus.
  • Experience creating motion graphics (After Effects) also a plus.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, typography, color theory, layout, organization and brand management.
