Job description


As a Sr. Offering Management Specialist here at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will be working closely with Operations, Sales, and Technology organizations. Driving the adoption of Spectra's ballistic materials among armor manufacturers, while leading the success of regional Spectra Armor New Product Development (NPD) initiatives and partnering with R&D and Marketing teams to identify and develop new armor business and partnership opportunities. This position combines deep composite product knowledge with strategic oversight, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance product performance, meet market demands, and support overall Spectra business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leverage ballistic composite subject matter expertise to establish/formalize partnerships with customers in the defense market. Provide market development support to Spectra Armor Global Business Manager to drive efficient creation of high value, differentiated composite offerings.
  • Execute sales and strategies to win in the marketplace and create new growth franchises for Spectra.
  • Combine a sound business background with exceptional analytical, entrepreneurial, and strategic skills. You will network with industry leaders and build relationships to facilitate expanded sales opportunities. You will have a passion for our markets and products, and an ability to communicate with technical professionals.

Define the competitive landscape and identify the technology roadmap for new product offerings and applications capabilities required for sustained differentiation.
  • Collaborate with armor manufacturers, military R&D organizations, and Program Offices to establish comprehensive understanding of current and future body armor program specifications.
  • Identify and assess emerging materials, manufacturing processes, and characterization techniques for technology roadmap considerations.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders in R&D, sales and market development, supply chain, and sourcing to execute armor NPD activities.

Laison with Spectra Commercial, Development, Quality, and Manufacturing organizations to balance day-to-day business operations to achieve current year revenue and operating income goals (AOP) with strategic outlooks (STRAP).
  • Represent Spectra Armor business in customer meetings, global trade shows, and regional partnership discussions.
  • Provide marketing oversight and support for customer quality resolution, manufacturing initiatives, and new product development.
  • Draft business proposals/supply contracts as needed to support strategic regional business initiatives.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor of Science Technology Degree in Engineering, Polymers/Composite Materials, Materials Science or other related scientific or technical discipline.
  • 3 years of experience in offering management, product management, composite manufacturing or product development.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven track record of successfully coordinating with supply chain, R&D, sales, and product management to develop/launch offerings.

  • Experience with MS Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Salesforce.com, and SAP.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs of varying degrees of complexity.
  • Work with minimal supervision or within a team structure depending on the responsibilities of the project.

COMPENSATION
The annual base salary range for this position is $120,648K- $150,298K. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
