What You'll Do

Help deliver high-touch marketing experiences for a unique client base.

We're seeking a Sr. Associate, Content Marketing to support marketing communications for our Benefits and Protection business. In this role, you'll partner closely with service and marketing teams to develop, and deploy customized client communications for a select group of large nonqualified deferred compensation clients. You’ll also assist in the development and maintenance of content for other Benefits and Protection marketing initiatives across various platforms, including print, web, email and social media.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, project coordination, and attention to detail. While strong writing and editing skills are important, success in this role is driven by the ability to manage multiple projects, ensure accuracy, and deliver polished marketing materials on time.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the day-to-day maintenance, review, and updating of marketing and client communication materials.
  • Partner with service and marketing teams to develop customized enrollment and participant communications for key clients.
  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring materials are delivered accurately, on time, and in alignment with brand and compliance standards.
  • Review, edit, and refine content provided by internal partners to ensure quality, clarity, consistency, and audience relevance.
  • Audit existing marketing collateral and recommend updates to improve effectiveness and maintain accuracy.

Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$58900 - $70000 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

This role will be located at Principal World Headquarters in Des Moines IA and will benefit from a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days a week in the office in a typical work week.
