Monday-Friday with variable hours, with some evening and weekend event work required

Position Description:

The Marketing Associate is responsible for meeting with customers on a regular basis to plan, implement and evaluate promotions. All duties performed are expected to be within the objectives, standards, mission, and policies of Doll Distributing LLC, State of Iowa laws and regulations governing the beer industry, and brewery/supplier requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, organize, promote, and execute marketing promotions and special events
  • Participate in the set up and tear down of events, provide samples of alcoholic beverages to consumer at events
  • Account list includes 50+ accounts.
  • Engage consumers in samplings, games, and/or purchase considerations - including both on-premise and off premise.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to learning and understanding product portfolios
  • Communicate account activities to Marketing Manager
  • Exhibit strong commitment to the service needs of the internal/external customer
  • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Non Essential Functions:

  • Cross-train with other departments throughout Doll Distributing
  • Participate in continuing education regarding brands and general beer knowledge
  • Partner with Account Managers to order and set-up signage in accounts
  • Deliver samples of new product to customers and with Account Managers to sell and gain tap lines

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Meet or exceed minimum productivity standards established by Doll Distributing LLC
  • Effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision
  • Proficient in computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Demonstrate strong communication, customer relations, and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people and customers
  • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner while effectively growing retailer relationships and sales

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Bachelors or Associates degree preferred, or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • Must have insured personal vehicle for transportation to and from accounts and promotion sites
  • Automobile insurance which meets minimum liability coverage within company policy
  • Maintains acceptable driving record within MVR policy guidelines

    • Depending on the Season, this position will spend 10-40% of the shift in an outdoor environment
  • Safety Considerations
    • This position drive personal vehicle to customer locations in various weather conditions
  • Physical/Mental Organizational Capabilities
    • The individual in this role must possess the ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and climb stairs on a frequent basis. Must have the ability to safely lift a minimum of 24 lbs. without assistance, waist level, waist to should level, shoulder level to overhead
  • Visual/Hearing Capabilities
    • The visual ability necessary to read and interpret a computer screen is required. The hearing ability necessary to communicate with others is required.
